About the game

Sudoku Online hands you a 9×9 grid with a few numbers already written in. You fill the empty squares with digits 1 through 9 so none repeats in a row, a column or a 3×3 box.

Classic mode runs from Easy to Expert. X-Sudoku adds both long diagonals, Windoku adds highlighted regions, Killer gives groups of cells a target sum, and Kropki uses white dots for a difference of 1 and black dots for a double. Each grid has a single answer, and you can always find it by thinking instead of guessing.

How to play

  • Select a square and press 1–9 to place a digit.
  • Keep every digit to one appearance per row, column and 3×3 box.
  • Begin with squares whose row, column and box are already crowded, since fewer digits remain.
  • Turn on notes mode to store several candidates in one square and erase them as numbers land.
